Me Before You By Jojo Moyes
What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane.
Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.
What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

This book was selected in place of Plainsong by Kent Haruf for my work place book club. The person who chose Plainsong decided it was not something she wanted to share with the book club after all. I've never read Plainsong but I am so glad she changed her mind, because I fell in love with Me Before You, hard. Even given at times it's difficult subject matter, and the fact that I cried big girl tears at several parts knowing where the plot would ultimately end up. It was still a wonderful journey and I so enjoyed being wrapped up in it for every step. The writing is deceptively simple and the plot never seems to make any big swings, but yet it pulls you in and before you know it you are mad at any and all interruptions that keep you away from the reading. I think this one may well be worth a future reread.
On another note; Unfortunately my book reviews always seem to slow down at this time of year. The holidays and seasonal illnesses always seem to take away from reading time. Please be patient and check back when you can. I'll be around, fear not.
